fatten' up

Doctor said we've got to fatten' Eva up so she now gets avocado, tofu and yogurt each day mixed in her other foods. She also gets teething biscuits, and as you see here, she really likes them!

walking?

Eva's latest toy - a walker. We heard mixed reviews about these toys but since we don't have stairs and do have hardwood floors, we have the ideal set up to put Eva on wheels and watch her go. Her legs are a tad short to get good leverage off the floor but she enjoyed playing with the toys. Hell on wheels coming soon!

eva's first valentine's day

Eva is feeling very loved with a froggy from G-mommy & G-dad, an outfit from Nanna & Nonni, and cold hard cash from Grandma & Grandpa!

She loves hugging & kissing this froggy!

Not only is this outfit cute, but it tastes good too!

It is hard to tell in this photo but she was clapping and squeaking - probably thinking of what she was going to spend it on!

meeting the cats

Eva never really cared much about the cats and they always seemed annoyed by her crying and squeaking. Now that she's older and they are outside, there is a new appreciation for the hairy beasts that scat about outside. They didn't seem to mind her and were probably enjoying the attention. Here she is enjoying fists full of fun!

nine months

Yep, we are as shocked as she is to realize Eva is already 9 months!

Here's all the new stuff:
  • Super Gummy - she loves to smack her gums.
  • Weaned herself off bottles - after winter break and having mama milk from the source, Eva decided she is too mature for bottles.
  • Starting sippy cup - mostly making a mess but starting it nonetheless.
  • Eating homemade food and tons of it!
  • Eva loves to read books - they really taste good too.
  • Hired a doula to help us transition Eva from our bed to her crib. There were more tears from us than her the first night but we are working on it.
